Philly restaurant week: AMADA

Eating at Amada during restaurant week is really a great deal. I enjoyed every dish we ordered. For first course we had plate of olives, Garrotxa cheese, serrano ham on melon(my favourite), and a plate of serrano ham. Seconds course we had beef shortrib flatbread,chicken breast with truffles topped with fried egg, roasted sea bass, and grilled scallops. They were all wonderfully delicious! And the desserts were also quite good. O! plus we had a pitcher of very tasty sangria. I think this is the best iron chef Jose Garces's restaurant in Philly.

Lover of eggs! Dr. Castle made a very tasty iron skillet frittata with smoked cheese, mushroom, onions, and parsley.

Love going to Trader Joe's, it's like a snack heaven! They have huge variety of snacks and most are quite healthy. Here is what I got, lemon hearts and biscuits both perfect with tea and coffee.

Beef Pie

Meat pies make great winter meals. My first time, pie with beef, red wine, onions, and mushroom. As always Dr. Castle made the perfect fluffy pie crust. The beef pie was so delicious.

Pottstar edible creations

First seeing these chocolate cuties at my sister's blog; very excited about pottstar's new creations. Food + toys = paradise. I looked up pottstar's flickr photo stream and saw he also has a bread series! check them out!

I think your only objective of this game is to collect as many pepsi cans as possible. The awesome part is you can be pepsiman. Um... perhaps not.

Mochi loves mochi

On new year, my friends brought over some mochi ice-cream. My kitty, Mochi, loves mochi ice-cream; couldn't get him to clam down, he kept trying to grab it. In the end, we let him licked some of the ice-cream; happy kitty, Mochi.

what's cooking on New Year

With the mummer's parade close to home, I invited couple of friends to have dinner. Started with eggplant dip and oil vinegar with bread. I made baked savory acorn squash and wild rice which went with my friends' katsu, fried pork, with homemade sauce.
