off to Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year!

Since I will be out of the country for two weeks, a week in Hong Kong and a week in Seoul, I will not be able to post often. But perhaps, if lucky, I will post some of the wonderful tasty food on this trip.

some food and game fun 3

Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa, is a socially irresponsible game that put baby Upa (the player) in horrifying, deadly situations. Looks quite fun, and the sweet stage is definitely tasty.

PACKAGE: MLK milk

Designed by Depot WPF Branding Agency. The brand visual identity consists of black and white graphic patterns which were taken from the real environment of a small milk farm. Lovely design, makes milk interesting and perhaps will attract more consumers to drink milk.

PACKAGE: abella honey

Abella is fine artisan honey produced and estate bottled in Galicia, Spain. “Abella” means bee in Gallego, the language spoken in Galicia. The branding is elegant, and I love the free-form, beveled effect of the jars. Designed by Bonnie Miguel, these Italian artisan jars are the perfect vessels for the sweet Spanish treat.

Edible tiles

Katja Gruijters did a series of edible lace experiments. These lace tiles are made of chocolate, confectionery, shortbread and shortcrust pastry. Just too beautiful for eating.

ironchef 2011 first round!

Home's Iron Chef 2011 begins! First round Elizabeth vs. Kien. Secret ingredient: pomegranate. Kien made a wonderfully light noodle dish, slightly sweet with a pomegranate sauce. Unfortunately was just the wrong season to make a summer dish. Elizabeth made a complete tasty, hardy meal; pan seared salmon on top of fluffy bed of couscous complimented with refreshing beet salad, pomegranate cream and yogurt sauce.

Winner >>> Elizatbeth! YAY! Thank you guys for an awesome meal! cheers !!!

Meat America show

Although I am not a big meat eater, but I really like this meaty series by Dominic Episcopo called "United Steaks of America". You can see his work now at Bambi Gallery, it is an artery-clogging, heart-attack of American spirit all in one meaty package.

pretty things: tea cups

These beautiful cups and saucers are from D-BROS. I especially like the "from down till dusk" and the "waltz" series.
