Craft Beer Ice Cream!
Anyone tried beer ice-cream? I haven't and these look pretty good. All the flavors Frozen Pints offers sound good, especially Cinnamon Espresso Stout, Brown Ale Chip and Peach Lambic, which itself is a very sweet drink.

what's cooking
Sorry about my shaky hands. I had been getting different kinds of sausages from the Reading terminal, they come in different kinds of meat and seasonings. Too bad the BBQ season is kind of ending. Welcome Fall.

Brunch &..... foootballl?!?!
Yes brunch! Dr. Castle wanted to watch his home town game, although I am not much into sports, we went to the Devil's Den in South Philly, for their bunch, mimosa, and some football. I had the sweet corn pancakes with two eggs and bacon, I quite like the dense texture of the pancakes, not fluffy but pretty tasty with pineapple and mint syrup. Dr. Castle had the bagel with lox, which I wish I had ordered. The food were pretty tasty, and game was also pretty good. They also got a great beer selection.

Icy mooncake
Icy mooncakes come in all kinds of flavor. The past night, Sept. 12th, was the Chinese mid. Autumn festival, celebrating the full moon with sweet cakes and lighting lanterns. Traditional mooncakes are brown crusted with lotus seeds paste and salty egg yolk fillings. But now mooncakes come in many flavors. During my stay in Hong Kong, I had the rock & roll (brown), cookie and cream(left white), grape(light purple), and almond pudding flavor moon cakes from Saint Honore bakery. I also tried their other flavors, one of my favorite is the Sesame and Pine nut.

Dinner at Dmitri's
I had always wanted to dine at Dmitri's. Finally I did last night, and I was totally happy and satisfied. We started with the spinach pie; warm and creamy and pillowy. I had the pan fried scallops, loved it, very very tasty and buttery. Dr. Castle had grilled whole fish, it's exceptional, quite delicious.

Belt Fish
For labor day, I had lunch at a friend's house. Elizabeth made this very tasty and spicy Beltfish dish. I had never tasted Beltfish before, thin and lots of tiny bones, it was very delicious. Patiently taking out little bones didn't stop me from enjoying the fish.

Korean Tofu House
Because of hurricane Irene, my route from Hong Kong to Philly was obstructed. I stayed in LA for a couple of days until the first flight available to Philly. Luckily I got family and friends in LA. Plus I got to go to Korean tofu house; love the hot tofu stone pot.

Last meal before leaving HK
I am not fond of fast food in America, it has been years since I have eaten fast food. However, I do love the apple pie and the special sweet potato pie from the Hong Kong McDonalds. They are super crispy outside, and warm sweet inside.
